On Wednesday, April 13th, the Century Peterborough social committee hosted an Easter get-together for employees and their families. The incredible Dedication and Teamwork of the committee, as well as many of the employees, made the day an incredible success.

The group spent hours putting this event together, including buying supplies and goodies for every child. They spent a few days wrapping gifts between runs and getting the food organized.

When it came time for the Easter bunny to arrive, everyone was on duty! Steve Derrett manned the BBQ while Ellie Griffiths-Childs and Olga Hyska-MacDonald flipped flapjacks. There was plenty of bacon and fixings for everyone – including a special treat of homemade maple syrup provided by Steve Collins!

While the event was supposed to happen outdoors, as it often happens in Canada, the weather was not keen to cooperate. Thankfully Shop Manager Jeff and his great crew cleared out a shop bay for the event, allowing everyone to stay warm.

We would like to take this time to acknowledge the incredible effort of the social committee. They ensured every child or grandchild in attendance got a gift as well as a Lions Club chocolate bunny. These events are so important for our company and the social committee does an amazing job organizing them. We can hardly wait until next year!
